The Mira Series illustrates the beginning of the universe. By exploiting the visceral qualities of powdered graphite, eruption, starbursts, time travel and the creation of celestial bodies are easily illustrated. The medium is thrown about, watered down, and metallic in its application. The work is gestural in its approach and reflects the tumultuous atmosphere above.
