This series is deeply entrenched in my memories both past and present, and was used as a tool for me to sort through the importance of the symbolism of these objects. Created during a period where these memories were limiting my emotional and intellectual state, I found this work as a necessary means for me to address my psyche visually. By doing this, I was able to connect meanings to these symbols while allowing them to dissolve naturally. Patterns, imagery and color repeat throughout the works, but as you can see, they fade into reflections upon water and mere shadows. By building the paintings up and enshrining the memories, I was able to allow the dissappearance of these structures through a natural overgroth.
