The deconstruction of “fact”; deconstruction of past; spiritual future present. These are process investigations built to confront the viewer and trap them into a spiritual center. This series takes that which has guided my previous work; imagery, color, composition, etc. and destroys it in effort to restructure my art-making. The artistic process alludes to a sort of new way of addressing my practice. The actual patterns and paths I have chosen focus on the questioning of my spiritual life. By using architectural diagrams of churches, shrines, holy centers, as well as god’s eyes and pastoral pattern building, I am PHYSICALLY making the work go into that questioning.
